Tax deductible Paver Donation
Memorial Garden
Watch the Memorial Garden video.
Remember a loved one, colleague or a special recognition with a gift to the Cary Senior Center Memorial Garden. With your minimum $100 donation, a paver (engraved brick) will be placed in the Memorial Garden, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a relaxing fountain. This tax deductible donation will show your dedication to the Cary Senior Center while honoring or memorializing a loved one, friend or yourself!

Renovation of the Memorial Garden was completed in 2019. We repaved the entire garden -- including the re-engraving of all current pavers -- using new and improved pavers designed to hold up over time, ensuring your message will endure.
Handrail - In the summer of 2020, we added a dual stair rail leading up to the fountain which enhances the look and beauty of the garden as well as adds a safety feature for visitors.
Wheelchair access - Facing the steps, follow the sidewalk to the right about 100 feet; turn left and there's a nice paved sidewalk for wheelchair access to the top level.
Now is a great time to get your paver!

Lobby Information

Monitor
The lobby TV Monitor shows the current day’s information for the Senior Center -- class and program titles, room numbers, start times, etc. Now people arriving for a class or meeting don't have to stop at the desk, but can get the room assignment from the monitor.
Friends Wall
Also in the lobby there is a designated space for Friends ... the Friends Wall (and table) ... where you can find information about us along with some of the forms regarding our organization, i.e., the paver donation form, Friends general donation form, and the Candidate information sheet used in our search for additional directors for our Board. This area was completed in September 2022 and will be an informative and decorative addition to the lobby area.

Media Room TV Monitor
A large screen TV was installed in the
Media Room. It’s used for CSTE computer
classes and replaces an old ceiling-mounted
projector and pull-down screen. Not only
does it provide sharper images and better
screen manipulation, it is also WiFi capable
and can mirror the screen from any laptop /
smartphone / tablet with WiFi capability. No
more searching for the correct cables and
connectors if there is a need to improvise
and show the screen from a different device.
Now it can all be done wirelessly in seconds.
It was paid for exclusively by FoCSC and
installed July 2019.

Room 302 technology upgrade
As with the Cary Senior Tech Education (CSTE) media room, room 302 has had an upgrade too. In summer 2020, a new smart TV was installed that has the capability of doing “quick share,” making life a lot easier for those using that room for meetings and presentations.

People counters
These sensors were installed in January 2023 at the entrance to the CSC. They count the number of people entering the building. This helps with resource planning to enable us to better respond to the numbers of people attending our regular programs and special events.
